While searching for a breakfast spot this was one of the first ones that popped up on my screen. Took a look at the address, and we were on our way. Stepped inside and it seemed like a cozy place. But, none of that matters I’m here for the food. Period.
We were quickly seated, and we started browsing the menu. What to choose, what to choose? I settled on Country Fried Steak & Eggs. What did the other guy order? Who cares? I didn’t taste it. But, once his pancakes came, I had to order myself a stack.
The food came pretty quick and I was ready to devour everything in sight. The steak was seasoned well, I had to force myself not to make a sandwich out of the biscuits, steak, and gravy. The only reason I didn’t was so I can dip the biscuits into the egg yolks. The Biscuits were light and airy, not theose dense biscuits you find at major chains. Eggs were cooked to perfection. And the hashbrowns, although I’m not that big of a fan of them they were good.
And then, the pancakes came. Butter already melting away on top. I poured the Maple syrup all over them, and waited a bit. Giving the pancakes a chance to soak up some af that syrup. Just like the biscuits, they were light, with none of that flour flavor, some other places have. And the Maple syrup, I could drink that out of a cup. Only thing is that the butter seemed a little too salty for me. But, other than that, it was a great overall experience. Especially if you’re nursing a hangover.
