Another burger with a different kind of ground meat. How’ did we end up doing two of these in a row, I really don’t know, it just happened. I guess. Anyways, we decided on chicken today, as some of you “health nuts”, don’t want a fat, juicy burger full of flavor. Ground chicken, pink and slimy, well there’s no turning back now. After cooking this burger, it wasn’t that bad as we thought it would be, it was actually pretty good. Well, what else would you expect from the Boozin’ Foodie.
Onto the preperation. Fire up that griddle, or whatever you’re cooking on. Form your chicken patties, once the cooking surface is nice and hot throw them on there. Season with salt and pepper. Butter up your buns and toast them. Once the patty starts turning brown on the edges and the juice is coming up off the top, flip them over. Season them once again. Add cheese, we used mozzarella today. Grab the bottom bun and add your toppings. We used mayo, lettuce and tomato. Once the patties are cooked, assemble your burger and enjoy.
Now for chicken you’ll need to make sure that the meat is well done. Other than that the whole process is the same, you might want to use some rosemary, and thyme to these patties, but they came out fine with just salt and pepper.
