Once I heard about this place, I knew I had to eat there A.S.A.P., and I did. Two days later I was ordering breakfast. Now I know that breakfast isn’t the best time to check out a new restaurant, but I’m a busy guy, and that was the only time I could, for the time being.
We stepped inside and looked around, the place had a nice feel to it, nothing too fancy. I felt comfortable right away, we were seated and I looked through the menu. A different selection from most other places and I liked that, Couldn’t decide between the Steak ‘N’ Eggs, the Scotch Egg, or the Smoked Brisket Benedict. It was a good while till I decided. Lucky for me I had a cup of coffee or two, which was probably some of the best coffee I had tried in a restaurant.
I finally decided on the Scotch Egg, a hard boiled egg that was wrapped in sausage and deep fried, and a side order of pancakes. The food came and it was bigger than I had expected. I slapped on some of the Honey Dijonnaise, and the Arugula Pesto on the Scotch Egg and it was Delicious, (with a capitol D). Two came with the order, I could have scarfed down another two, at least.
On to the Pancakes, these weren’t your ordinary pancakes, that you usually find in a breakfast restaurant, these were really light and airy, and that Maple syrup, was just the icing on the cake.
If your in the neighborhood, stop in to the Harvest Room and tell them the Boozin’ Foodie sent you. They probably won’t know what you’re talking about, but who cares?
