WSIDT – December 31 : New Year’s Eve

It’s the final day of the year, just one more day till you start all new again. Or that’s what we all think. We’re still just the same people doing the same things, day in, day out. Never the less, it’s time to party, and I do mean party. Everyone does it a little different, but the only thing that is always certain, specially if you’re reading this, there always seems to be booze involved. Grab a bottle of champagne and start celebrating.

WSIDT – December 30 : 1st U.S. Music Concert

Back in 1731, Peter Pelham’s Great Room hosted the first music concert in the United States. Now this was before they were called the United States, but you get where I’m getting at. Other than the fact that Hard Rock hadn’t been invented yet, it seems that it probably was a pretty lame concert. Tonight we’ll all head to any local venue and guzzle on the cheapest beer we can find.

WSIDT – December 29 : Operation Bridgeport

KC2XAK was the world’s first television station. It started out as a test code-named “Operation Bridgeport” to see if the UHF spectrum was good for communications and broadcasting. Although it only lasted for 2 and a half years, it was a success and gave way to thousands of channels available today. Maybe even more. Thanks to Operation Bridgeport, we can now watch Football, and drink away our Sundays as we cheer for DA BEARS, or whatever team you care to support. Don’t forget to grab finger food, and a case of beer, while you watch TV all day.

WSIDT – December 28 : Card Playing Day

That’s right gather all your friends and get together to spend the night playing cards. Nothing better than a game of Strip Poker to help you forget about life’s troubles. Unless of course you’re all just a bunch of guys. If that’s the case just stick to regular poker. It’s going to be an all niter, and you better pick up a couple … more like 6 cases of beer to help you quench your thirst. Sitting down in the same seat can sure be tiring.

WSIDT – December 22 : The Resurrection Of Nikki Sixx

Nikki Sixx died tonight for the first time back in 1987. After overdosing on heroin, Nikki Sixx was pronounced dead on arrival. All of his band mates heard the news a little too early though. Turns out that the paramedic in the ambulance was a Motley Crue fan. And revived Nikki Sixx after declaring, no one dies in my truck, or ambulance. Rumors say (meaning I just thought it up for this article) that the paramedic dropped a fifth of Jack Daniel’s in his IV. So, grab a fifth and celebrate the resurrection of Nikki Sixx.
